In the last decade, we’ve moved the needle from zero to six countries that afford women full equality under the law, according to a World Bank report entitled: Women Business and the Law 2019.  The US scored 83.75 out of 100, a solid B grade, but that doesn’t even rate a spot in the top 50 globally.

The report makes the economic case for equality, “If women have equal opportunities to reach their full potential, the world would not only be fairer, it would be more prosperous as well,” World Bank Group Interim President Kristalina Georgieva said.
