The Women Lawyers of Alameda County Nominating Committee is developing the slate for the 2020 Board of Directors. Anyone who has been a voting member of the organization for at least one year is eligible to hold office.

We anticipate filling several open Director positions for the term beginning January 1, 2020, so if you would like to be considered by the Committee, please submit a statement of interest and qualification of two paragraphs or less to [email protected], with the subject “2020 Board” by August 15, 2019. If you would like to be considered by the Committee for the office of President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer, please also submit a statement of interest and qualification of two paragraphs or less to womenlawyer[email protected], with the subject “2020 Officer” by August 15, 2019.

Members may also directly nominate Officers and Directors by submitting to the WLAC Secretary on or before August 15, 2019, 5:00 pm, a written nomination signed by the nominee and not less than 5% of the current membership in good standing. The Committee will publish the slate and hold the election at the annual meeting of the membership, during the Annual Judges’ Dinner on October 24, 2019, at Scott’s Seafood, Jack London Square, Oakland, CA. All candidates must be present at the meeting.
